Meredith discovered the wonderful modality of Jin Shin Jyutsu® many years ago, after having dabbled in the field of alternative medicine both as a practitioner and client, when her mother insisted she give this "amazing thing" a try. She has been intrigued and hooked ever since. Reading the book, "The Touch of Healing: Energizing Body, Mind, and Spirit with the Art of Jin Shin Jyutsu" by Alice Burmeister was not enough; she had to learn more, and thus began the succession of intensive training seminars she attended over a two year period. Meredith became a Certified Jin Shin Jyutsu Practitioner in June 2006 and has since seen clients out of her home. She is excited to now expand her client base by joining the diverse and able group of practitioners at In Good Hands.
Meredith has a strong background in several other fields besides Jin Shin Jyutsu, including French, Music, and Psychology. Not able to sacrifice any of her loves to the other, she has pursued each interest to a high level of study. She is currently completing her Masters in Transpersonal Psychology through the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto, CA. Her thesis will be a pilot study on The Berkal Technique for Trauma Elimination, an efficient technique for clearing "emotional baggage" that she studied with its founder in Canada, and its effectiveness in treating Depression. She hopes to eventually offer her services as a Berkal Technique Practitioner as well as a Jin Shin Jyutsu Practitioner, but for now is delighted to focus on the latter.

Margaret Whitefield Lesch discovered energy medicine after 40 years of learning to take care of herself and others. She homeschooled her three sons, all in varying stages of college or employment. Prior to beginning her homeschooling focus, Margaret worked as an Administrative Assistant, Executive Secretary and Assistant Editor. Her education includes previous studies through LaLeche League and the Episcopal Church, and her current studies with the American Institute of Holistic Theology, in Birmingham Alabama.
Margaret began her energy medicine studies in April 2001 with an introduction to Reiki. Since then, she has poured herself into various energy courses and programs of study. She has studied with Rev. Rosalyn Bruyere, the Barbara Brennan School of Healing, Holos University, the Healing Touch for Health Care Professionals and Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry programs. She is a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner credentialed through Healing Touch International.
Although Healing Touch is the basis of Margaret's energy healing foundation, she continues her education through studies with Rev. Rosalyn Bruyere and a program developed by two of her graduates called Nervous System Energy Work. NSEW understands the nervous system as the most direct carrier of subtle energy in the body. The nervous system is a magnificent system of subtle energy that nourishes and clears our cells, organs and body systems, and enhances vitality and self-awareness. As the nervous system is also the carrier of conscious awareness in the body, NSEW is often experienced as having immediate and palpable effects on the body.
Margaret is available for introductory workshops and weekend seminars.
In addition to her roles as owner of In Good Hands, energy therapy practitioner and coordinator of workshops, Margaret remains active in her favorite roles - wife, mother and grandmother of Annabelle.

Tanya began her quest for health knowledge while attending Virginia Tech. where she earned a B.S. in Community and International Nutrition. Upon graduating, she realized nutrition and healing could not be separated. She felt drawn to a more holistic approach, and later attended the Rocky Mountain Center for Botanical Studies for Certification as an Herbalist in Colorado. Seven years ago, she began yet another journey down the path of bodywork where she attended the Finger Lakes School of Massage, a 1000-hour program in Ithaca, New York. She has been practicing bodywork ever since with a focus on trigger point and connective tissue therapies along with energy palpation and Shiatsu techniques, offering an integrative experience of deep and energetic bodywork adapted to the individual needs of her clients. A yogi, Tanya has been practicing asanas for the last decade and in the past few years began deepening her studies and training in yoga. She is certified to teach Hatha yoga. Her loves are all things yoga, traveling, meditation, hiking, plants, swimming, color therapy and any moment spent playing outside!

Beth Young is a native Knoxvillian and has been a licensed massage therapist in the state of Tennessee for 12 years. Her interest in intuitive medicine began through her massage therapy practice. While working with clients, she realized she could intuitively recognize their physical conditions and energy blockages. This realization led her to explore the field of energy medicine, and in 2004, she earned her Masters in Intuition Medicine at the Academy of Intuition Medicine in Sausalito, California. During her training there, Beth had a profound healing experience when she began the process of removing unwanted energy from her system. This experience brought with it a significant change in perception as well as a deep sense of inner peace. After energetically clearing her personal space, she had a feeling of being at home in her body that she had never known before. She knew this was something she needed to share and began working with others to help them identify their own energy blockages. Once identified, Beth helps clients to remove these energies so that they can experience their own sense of deeper peace, and ultimately reconnect with their spirit.
